SEO Tip 18: Free Niche Finder

Free Niche FinderIf you are taking part in the 30 day challenge I posted a few days ago, then you can skip this. If you are not interested in finding new niches for your sites then also skip this.

Now that I got rid of most of you :) there is this great tool that fine people at the 30 day challenge made for the participants, but everyone can use it I guess.

The tool is not so much a niche finder as it helps you avaluate the niche in an easy to understand way. So you should already have an idea for a niche in your head, then use this tool to see if it is worth jumping in.

Free Niche Finder is a mix of free wordtracker tool and google trends tool. The problem with wordtracker is that the results are not always accurate, the number of searches can be way off. The problem with Google trends is that you do not know what exactly the trend line represents. 100 people? 1.000 people? 5 people?

The solution to this is to mix wordtracker adn google trends plus do one more thing. In Google trends you can compare trends for two keywords. Now imagine if you own a website that has top search engine results position for a certain keyword. You know exacly how much treffic that keyword brings you every day. You can compare every other keyword to that keyword.

I see. But what if you do not own a first place website? This is where the nice folks of the 30 day challenge come in. They sacrifised one of their sites so that all the results are measured upon their website.

Enough blah blah, right? Right! Go here, type in your keyword and then click the bar button at the right side of every keyword. Simple and idiot proof. Green good, red bad. Good luck with your niches.

For your keyword research try using KeywordSpy - a keyword research technology that will help you know what keywords your competitors are using and how it generates money for them, you can use those keywords to drive traffic to your site and give your business the exposure it needs. It offers Free trials.

It goes with a ClickBank Affiliates Search Engine where you can see the actual market landscape at ClickBank.

I’m using the niche finder, but since Yahoo (Overtool) has shut down the keyword suggestion online tool, the niche finder doesn’t work anymore.

Any suggestion for another niche finder tool that works?
